Very interesting info offered up here about the relationship between Ramsay and Reek as it will be played out in the show, and a little bit of insight offered too about the actors' take on the relationship between Roose and Ramsay. The actors do seem to have been interviewed after Season 3 in this particular article, so they are discussing some things we have already seen. But it is great to hear what they have to say about it as it gives some clue of how things will continue to develop. We may have some lovely-dark things to look forward to... "It's Reek Now."Thoughts?

Thank you for the link to the article. It was nice to read about Alfie's thought on Theon's castration being the crucial point of him transfoming into Reek. His only weapon...

Nice article, thanks for the link!
It kind of makes me wonder if they are going to play up the castration later on in the series. The only reference to it in season 4 was Ramsay's smile during the bath scene. Anyway, I love the thought Alfie Allen puts into playing Reek as opposed to Theon. Knowing that he corrects the directors every time they call him Theon made me happy. Michael McElhatton's comment on Roose beeing wary of Ramsay made me laugh, since I always saw him as just done with him in every scene. To me, his face just screams "WHAT NOW, RAMSAY?".

I figured all us Ramsay/Reek shippers could give undignified girly squeals over it together. (yah, fanbois, you allowed to squeal too ).. LOL I do hope they play up the castration bit as well as all the other dark, horrifying 'bits.' ha ha ha Alfie Allen is great. I never knew of him before GoT but I love that he gets so into the role, is clearly a brilliant actor who has captured the heart of his own interpretation of the character, and sticks to his guns. And well, Roose in my opinion is supposed to have the best poker face in the Game of Thrones world, but... who could have Ramsay for a son and not worry? ha ha ha! I mean, in the books Ramsay's mother ended up begging her rapist for help to control her very badly-behaved son. That should say a lot right there. I mean, I love the point you made there and I totes agree, but I also think of how his cool exterior could be just a facade... his weary 'Oh what are you up to now, you troublemaker?' attitude something that actually hides panic. "OMG, did he lose it completely and order all of our men to kill themselves!!?" Oh, my heart... so warmed by these thoughts. I am badly-behaved too, I think. ^_^

However, there is no way they can portray Theon healing without addressing his castration in relation to his place as a lord. I have such high regards for Alfie Allen that I am sure he will do something amazing if the writers just give him a scene to work with. You made some good points. I kinda tend to see Roose as invulnerable, but thinking about it he is more than smart enough to be very vigilant about Ramsay. Reading your comment, I really want to see a dub-over of Roose thoughts in every scene. "Ramsay has his own of doing things" Flaying, torturing and murder and oh my god I need Greyjoy alive, I think I made a mistake.
Why is he shaving you?! I'll never like you, but I need you I swear if he kills you...

"From now on you are Ramsay Bolton" Dontmakemeregretthis,pleasedontmakemeregretthis...Oh, see, in my opinion the torture part was not brushed off simply because of the wonderful acting of Alfie Allen... that constant nervous twitch that is indicative of a psychotic break, and the silent tension between himself and Ramsay until Ramsay decides to ease it by speaking. In my mind it's like an Alfred Hitchcock movie. You don't see all of the horror but you absolutely feel it. And LOL, yes, that makes a fun idea for a game, actually. I will prob do a thread on that (omg, I have so many in mind that I need to get to, ha ha!) and invite dub-overs and interpretations of different characters' thoughts... mainly Thramsay-centric, of course. And I did love your impressions so much--for some reason (perhaps because of how frantic it was? ha ha) I laughed SO hard at the last one. Delightful! I think you have a talent there. XD Btw, I don't know if you noticed yet (I was so tired when I posted last night that I can't remember who I notified about what), but I got the second chapter of my fic up; it draws much inspiration from the idea you suggested, and I mentioned and credited you for that. And, for the record, if it would let me dedicate individual chapters as well as whole stories, I would dedicate that chapter to you. Thank you for the marvelous idea that pretty much fueled that entire chapter, it was wonderful fun to write--not so much fun to format the long thing on AO3 when trying to post, ha ha!

And well, the acting is great for both of them--the actors are playing off of each other very well, both so in tune with the characters... they create that beautiful tension together that tells us so much without words. I love it.
