Yes you heard me right. As you can tell from my nickname I'm a fan of Theon and now I'm thinking about trying out some archery myself. I've been taking a horse riding lesson, too, so maybe someday I'll ride and shoot an arrow  And right, I'm thinking of getting a license for sailing, so maybe I can sail a small boat or yacht, too. Although it has nothing to do with piracy, I've been wanting to do this even before I joined this fandom... Anyways. So is there anyone out here who has taken up a bow? If so how did it go for you? |

I've learnt some martial art, though, Japanese fencing that is, but it was more than a decade ago, now I don't think I even remember how to swish a sword properly, just recall very basic stuff. Hopefully, I will be able to pick it up again some time. If you ever take up archery, then please do share the experience. I'd very much like to hear. I will try to share mine as well when I start it. As for the riding, it has been raining for a few days straight, so I haven't really gone out for riding, besides my leg is being a bitch. And oh yes, I have no idea when I would have the opportunity to take up archery but I want to... I will! As soon as it becomes possible for me. If I can't be legendary Legolas-status with that bow, then maybe I can acheive something close to Ramsay's level (which seems amazing, to say the least). Human limitations, blah. lol! I guess a lot of the hardcore stuff happens with the mad skillz when a warrior is under pressure to take out enemies... probably not just aiming at some motionless target. But at least that is a start and is still way more badass than someone who doesn't even know how to hold the bow right (me at this current time, ha ha). So yeah, I will definitely share the experience once it happens for me. I look forward to sharing those pics (and seeing yours and those of other Thramsay enthusiasts who decide to get into it... There WILL be more!!)! Ha ha |

ironsalt - wow! I am jealous of that! I wish I could learn to swim  , then sail a yacht , then do the whole archery thing ! I think I have good aim.

Almost drowned to death twice when I was much young and the near death experiences scared me quite a lot and well, I have been traumatized for a long time - that I have tried to learn to swim about more than a decade ago, but due to conflicting schedules and me-scared!-much!, the lesson didn't last more than two weeks to my shame  But! I'm planning to retry as a long time has passed since then and the bad experiences. I think I'm ready to take it up again and this time I mean to master it. I think I've been quite lucky so far for this thirty years of my life, so probably not so much bad things would happen to me... or so I hope XD Then comes the yacht sailing, I reckon I guess I will start with a small boat for a start up. The archery thing... I've tried it for the first time about a week ago whilst I was on a trip in Mongolia. It was a fantastic experience and I'm definitely going to do it again when I find the right place and time for it I recommend you try it, too. It felts as much good as hitting a target with a gun or a rifle hehe... What makes you have good aim, by the way? I'm curious |

ironsalt, hahaha... good aim- because I love to throw stuff and I always get it right.(not really) I got addicted to darts... and it was a great way to make my frustration go away. (rofl)I got kind of good at it. (is that lame?)  wow... a trip to Mongolia? Are you Asian? I am curious!

Hehe, this reminds me of the quote from the Game of Thrones tv series - Ramsay's saying: My mother taught me not to throw stones at cripples. But my father taught me, aim for their head. Darts? That's really cool. Yea, smashing things is a good stress release guess lol I tend to smash-play the keys on my piano when I'm in a very dark mood hehe. (And no, not lame at all  And yes again, I'm Asian. |

HMMMM I thought about joining an sports archery club or something like that a while ago (before I was in this fandom). I´m a biiig fan of fanatsy RPGs and my favourite weapon will be always... a bow!! So I never fired a bow, only guns since my ex-boyfreind was a Master Sergeant and took me to a shooting range XD. but... in the end it´s all about the time ~.~ I really don´t have time for it .___. or to say I prioritize other hobbies over it <___<, still I would love to try it out!
OHOH and I loved to play dart YESS (preferably cricket!)
